Why do I need to make an appointment at the Department for Foreigners (Urząd)?
There are 4 ways to apply for a residence card in Warsaw:
1. through the chancery;
2. through the post office;
3. by appointment;
4. reservation by e-mail.
Submission through the office and mail increases the total waiting period for the card by about 3-4 months, because after submitting the documents by these methods you need to wait for the “Call” for fingerprinting. Only after that the process of processing your case for a visit card will be started. Enrollment via e-mail is only available for large families.
