Humanitarian residence card in Poland for citizens of Belarus
On 09.07.2022, a regulation came into force, thanks to which citizens of Belarus will be able to obtain a new residence permit in Poland. The procedure is intended for those persons who are in Poland for humanitarian reasons on the basis of humanitarian visas (type D). The condition for granting a humanitarian residence card is the applicant's presence in Poland on the basis of a valid humanitarian visa before (at the time of) the application. Humanitarian visas expired during the epidemiological threat (COVID-19) are also subject to this regulation.
Advantages of a humanitarian residence permit
- Issued for a period of 3 years;
- The applicant is exempt from all fees;
- Plastic is provided free of charge;
- There is no need to have a work permit, which significantly speeds up the employment process;
- From 2023 the holder of the humanitarian card will have the opportunity to apply for a Polish travel document (it will be possible to travel outside Poland. Very useful in cases when the Belarusian passport loses its validity).
- And much more!
