If you want to engage in cab services in Poland, you must obtain a special permit - a cab license (licencja na taksówkę). You may face a fine of 2,000 PLN or even 12,000 PLN for operating without this permit. Think several times before “taxiing” without authorization documents.
What is required to obtain a license?
To begin with, it is worth noting that such activities can be carried out by persons who have either their own company (Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością) or a registered individual entrepreneur (Jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza).
You should also decide on the location of your activity, because when obtaining a cab license you will be limited to the municipality you choose (you can choose several municipalities, but this will entail additional costs for obtaining a cab license).
Once the organizational issues have been resolved, you can start preparing and collecting the necessary documents.
