Persons moving to Poland from Belarus, Ukraine or other countries can put their car on Polish registration (register the car in Poland), avoiding all customs duties and taxes (VAT, Cło, Akcyza).
Foreigners can take advantage of the exemption from customs duties as the property of an immigrant (mienie przesiedleńcze / mienie przesiedlenia) under certain conditions stipulated by Polish law.
Important: Obtaining the status of an immigrant and importing property with exemption from customs duties requires proof of your intention to reside permanently in Poland.

The exemption from customs duty applies to personal property that:
- Has been owned and used by the person concerned in the place of previous residence for at least 6 months prior to the date of removal from the country of origin;
- is owned by a person who has resided in the country of origin for at least 12 months;
- is intended to be used for the same purpose in the new place of residence.
