residence card (UKR) for citizens of Ukraine
Citizens of Ukraine who are under temporary protection (came to Poland after 24.02.2022 and have pesel with the status of UKR) from April 1, 2023 will be able to apply for a visit card on the grounds of:
work;
business;
performing highly qualified work (blue card).
UPD
From July 1, 2024, the list of grounds for obtaining a residence card for Ukrainian citizens staying in Poland on the basis of UKR status will be extended. One more reason for which an applicant can obtain a temporary residence permit is family reunification.
Also from the beginning of 2025, UKR status holders will be able to apply for a three-year residence card without any additional grounds. The application for this residence permit will be made electronically.
Submission process
The process of applying for such a card is simplified due to the absence of the need to submit fingerprints for a residence card on a personal visit to the Department for Foreigners (Urząd) (since fingerprints have already been taken when obtaining a PESEL number and UKR status).
